Shabbat Shalom! We’re into the post-Passover counting of the Omer period, and the BJN has two Omer-related features. In our right side column, we have a link showing the current day’s (night’s) Omer count which links to prayers and other Omer writings on Chabad.org. We have also added Rabbi Tirzah Firestone’s weekly postings about her Omer Journey — thoughts and texts designed to make these weeks before Shavout more meaningful.
Boulder also saw a moving Yom HaShoah program put together by Haver, Boulder’s Rabbinic Fellowship, and at the opposite end of the spectrum, Boulder Hebrew High held a joyous graduation ceremony/party for the eight teens that are completing 12th grade this month.
In other school-related news, we learned that Shoshi Bilavski is leaving us for Seattle, and the Boulder Jewish Day School has started a transition process that will be rolled out and described here in the BJN over the next days and weeks.
Have a restful and renewing Shabbat.
