CU Hillel Hosts BBQ for Hebrew High

l-r: Incoming Hillel of Colorado Pres. Mark Idelberg, Boulder Hillel Dir. Hana Nayberg, Hillel of Colorado Exec. Dir. Hal Applebaum and current Pres. Stuart Zall

On Tuesday night, April 13th, Hillel at CU Boulder hosted an open house and barbecue for Hebrew High 11th and 12th graders, plus Hillel of Colorado’s Board of Directors and Boulder Advisory Board.  The high school students mingled with Jewish CU students and got a slice of campus life along with hot dogs and hamburgers.

There was a short program for the Hebrew High students as HH teacher Phil Rubenstein, Boulder Hillel President Chelsea Bear, Jewish Sorority Sigma Rho Lambda Vice-President Irene Skupsky and Jewish Fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi President Adam Engel talked about Jewish life at college in general and CU in particular, encouraging the students to stay involved in Jewish life after high school.

Here is a collage of pictures from the event:

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
