(DENVER) – JEWISHcolorado will honor longtime community leader and philanthropist Debra Weinstein as the recipient of the 2027 Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award at its upcoming Women’s Philanthropy Lion/POM Luncheon on Wednesday, November 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Inverness Denver.
The Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award recognizes one woman from each Jewish Federation community who has set a high standard for philanthropy through her lifetime commitment to volunteerism, leadership, and charitable giving.
A longtime JEWISHcolorado leader, Lion of Judah, and Lion of Judah Endowment holder, Weinstein is being recognized for her decades of service, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to strengthening Jewish life in Colorado and beyond. Through her leadership, mentorship, and passion for community, she has inspired generations of volunteers, donors, and future leaders to deepen their involvement in Jewish life.
The luncheon will feature keynote speaker Shayna Kreisler, Vice President of Lay Leadership Development for the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). Kreisler shapes leadership development strategy across the Federation system, coaches senior professionals, and helps build the next generation of Jewish leaders through practical frameworks that strengthen leadership and collaboration.
The event will celebrate the impact of women-led philanthropy on Jewish life in Colorado, Israel, and around the world.
Community members are also invited to honor Weinstein through commemorative tributes recognizing her leadership, mentorship, friendship, and enduring contributions to the Jewish community. Tribute messages will be included as part of the celebration of her remarkable legacy and impact. To submit a tribute or learn more about the event, visit here: https://events.idonate.com/
