Shabbat shalom! As several articles point out this week, Saturday night is Selichot, and we wish everyone a thoughtful, meaningful preparation week for Rosh Hashanah, which begins Sunday September 13. Meanwhile, this weekend is Boulder’s own Hometown Fair, the bookend event that celebrates the end of summer. Enjoy the Labor Day holiday on Monday!
Please think about helping the Rohr Chabad Center at CU, who suffered an accidental fire and resulting water damage to their new Schaeffer Family Center. They are racing against time to get the building ready in time for high holiday activities.
Be sure to check out Connecting to Jewish Boulder, the BJN’s new business directory. Find all kinds of businesses and service providers in the Boulder area who are supporters of the Jewish community. If you have a business or service you’d like to offer to the community, submit your business here, or check to see if it’s already listed — and then claim your listing by clicking the “Claim This Listing” link.
Have a great weekend, and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.
