Colorado’s Jewish Teens and Their Families Now Have a Single Online Resource to Find Programs, Camps, Jobs, Volunteer Opportunities and Much More
Denver, CO – September 1, 2015 – As of today, jHubco.org is online and available as a comprehensive resource for Colorado teens and their families who are looking to get involved in local Jewish activities. The website is a portal to all Jewish teen activities with a searchable database and on-line calendar. Users can filter their search by age, location and interests, and the site includes information from youth groups, camps, clubs, travel programs, volunteer opportunities and more. Like communities throughout the United States, the Denver / Boulder area has lamented the drop off in Jewish teen involvement after age 13. With many viewing bar/bat mitzvah as a “graduation” from Jewish education rather than the beginning of adult participation in Jewish life, involvement after middle school has plummeted. The Denver/Boulder community is thrilled to be doing something about the problem with the launch of this new site.
“This website creates new avenues to connect Jewish teens to Jewish life,” said Karen Silverman, Executive Director of jHub. “Ultimately, this site is about community. We want to make it simple for our children and grandchildren continue to grow and thrive in all aspects of their lives while remaining connected to Judaism.”

The website is one of several projects that jHub, formerly known as the Jewish Youth Professionals Council, is creating as part of Denver/Boulder Jewish Teen Engagement and Education Initiative funded by Rose Community Foundation and the Jim Joseph Foundation. jHub is an association of organizations who do informal Jewish education with teens ages 6th-12th grade.
