Week in Review: September 16th, 2011

Shabbat Shalom!  Quite a week of mixed emotions, as we started with the 9/11 anniversary on Sunday, and then on Tuesday, we got to see the current status of our ten-year project to build a new Jewish Community Center.  And Jewish CU got rockin’ for the semester with the Israeli Moshav Band at Jew Fest on Wednesday night.

With the High Holidays coming up, we’re starting to see posts about some of the fabulous programming that is available in our community over these important days and nights.  BJN encourages you to check out the options.  All our coverage can be found on the High Holidays 2011/5772 page.

And of course, this Sunday night, join Menorah for its biannual fundraiser, New York, New York, celebrating the Jewish culture of the Big Apple.  See you there!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
