Shabbat Shalom! It’s starting to feel a bit like fall here in Colorado. We all shared in the joy of the Chilean miners’ rescue this week, while closer to home, many participated in the Global Work Day for Climate Change.
Of interest (at least to us!) this week was the release of the Avi Chai Foundation-commissioned report on Emerging Jewish Leaders. We encourage board members, staff and lay leaders to check out the report and think about how the findings are playing out in our own community. Also interesting for organizations this week was “Is Your Website Helping You Meet Your Mission?” Though focused on synagogue websites, many of the remarks apply to non-membership organizations as well. Food for thought.
Boulder Jewish News is pleased to add a new “category” of articles this week: CU Jewish Buffs. Helping bring this to life is Sara Fruman, a junior at CU and BJN’s first intern. She’s available to work with teens in the community to bring their voices to the community conversation and will help increase the coverage of Jewish activities at CU in BJN and on Twitter, where you can follow @CUJewishBuffs. Welcome!
Have a great weekend!
