Week in Review: June 4th, 2010

Shabbat shalom – what a week this has been.  Seems like we say that every week!

The week began with LimmudColorado, the Boulder Creek Fest and the 32nd annual Bolder Boulder, with a record 50,000+ runners finishing the race.

As exciting as that was here, clearly the news story of the week was the incident at sea between the IDF and the “flotilla.” We have included several posts this week (with links to more), including an opinion piece that received comments from as far as Turkey.

Those who know us know. . .the Boulder Jewish Festival this Sunday is the culmination of more than a year of planning. As our friends at the IJN remarked, “Jews along the Front Range need go no further than Boulder this Sunday for their own feel-good day of celebrating Jewish life, Boulder-style of course.” Given the events of the week, we hope you’ll come out for a day of community solidarity. At whatever level you connect with Jewish life – there’s a booth for that! Culture, food, spirituality, Israel, tikkun olam, art, music, literature, social – it’s all at the Festival. Look for the Boulder Jewish News at the event as well (though we don’t usually sit down!). Details about the event are on the Festival website, but there are exciting things happening that aren’t even on the site – you won’t want to miss a moment! Remember that the event stretches down three blocks of the Pearl Street Mall, from Peppercorn to Starbucks, and the Courthouse Lawn. Please take the opportunity to stroll the mall and see it all.

Happy Birthday, Len – and see you all on Sunday!
