This Saturday, November 14th, 2009, Oliver Hewat will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah at Mincha services at Congregation Bonai Shalom.  He will be reading from Parashat Chayei Sara. Oliver is the son of Rachel Relin and James Hewat of Lafayette.

Due to illness, the author of "Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean" has canceled his speaking engagements, including his Boulder appearance on Sunday, November 15. Tickets are still available for "Save the Deli" on Monday, November 16.
