Haver, Boulder’s Rabbinic Council, is leading a community-wide observance to remember the Holocaust on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Congregation Nevei Kodesh, 1925 Glenwood Drive, Boulder, Colo.

Yom HaShoah v’HaGevurah, a Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust and the Heroism, begins with a program for middle schoolers, which includes a pizza dinner beginning at 5:15 pm led by Arnold Fridland, a Holocaust survivor.

A community commemoration service at 7:00 pm features two guest speakers. All interfaith communities are welcome to attend.

Professor Emeritus William Safran will speak about his experience in “Surviving the Camps: A Personal Story.”

Elise Berlin, a second-generation survivor, will talk about “Then and Now.”
