Shabbat shalom! As we head into Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, please consider heeding Chany Scheiner’s call to celebrate a Shabbat dinner tonight to complete what the four French Jews slain at the Hyper Cacher in Paris were preparing for last Friday, but could not complete. Also, in honor of MLK Day, there is a screening of a documentary about one of the Jewish civil rights campaigners and organizers of the March on Washington in 1963 that culminated in MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
Also, don’t miss the BJN program for the upcoming Boulder Jewish Film Festival, provided by our cinemaven and festival organizer, Kathryn Bernheimer. The festival starts on March 14th, and tickets go on sale on February 9th. Make your plans today!
Have a great weekend, stay warm, and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.
