Shabbat shalom!
As we have now slipped inside 90 days to the next election, and given that Boulder Jewish News is organized as a 501c3 charitable (and educational) organization, we will be turning down any further candidate-related posts between now and the election. We will accept issue-related posts, as long as they do not mention specific candidates for office, whether in Boulder, Colorado, or anywhere else in the United States.
We will gladly accept any posts having to do with the Israeli elections, issues or candidates for office there if any of our readers are so inclined.
We will also be encouraging our readers, wherever they live, to actually get out and vote – just once, in the right place – and the earlier the better for your own convenience and sanity.
Last September, we began a new column with Rabbi Charna Rosenholtz, a 12-part column exploring the spiritual and psychological wisdom of each Hebrew month. Drawing from Torah, Kabbalah, Mussar, and seasonal awareness, each installment highlights core themes, practices, and reflections to help ground us in sacred time. Join us on this monthly journey through the Jewish calendar. We are now in Av, the eleventh month, so be sure to check out this latest entry. Links to her earlier columns (months 1-10) are included.
Here are the stories from this week.
