Week in Review: August 28th, 2015

Shabbat shalom!  If you are reading this before noon, Jewish Federations of North America is streaming a live address by President Obama to the North American Jewish community at 12:10 pm Mountain Time about the Iran Nuclear Deal.  Information and registration are here.  And tonight, Representative Jared Polis will be at Congregation Bonai Shalom for a post-service Q&A session, co-sponsored by AIPAC.

And, welcome back to school all our friends at CU Boulder, who started classes this week!  We’re looking for an student intern to cover the Jewish CU scene — contact us at editor@boulderjewishnews.org if you know someone or are interested yourself.  Credit available!

Be sure to check out Connecting to Jewish Boulder, the BJN’s new business directory.  Find all kinds of businesses and service providers in the Boulder area who are supporters of the Jewish community.  If you have a business or service you’d like to offer to the community, submit your business here, or check to see if it’s already listed — and then claim your listing by clicking the “Claim This Listing” link.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
