Marianne Weingroff Captures the Beauty of Color, Shape with Her Camera

Marianne Weingroff will present and discuss her photography at the Boulder JCC on Monday, April 29th at noon. The Lunch and Learn program, “From Poppies to Peonies: The Vibrant Colors of India, Morocco – and My Back Yard,” is part of  ACE’s series showcasing the work of local photographers, who present their images on the large screen and share their process and aesthetics.

A world traveler and accomplished photographer, Marianne will show photos from her recent trips to India and Morocco, and earlier trips to Africa where she traveled frequently for work. She’ll also showcase her macro photos taken in the Denver area. Marianne has always been drawn to color and shape, and delights in finding interesting patterns to shoot. She recently started taking shots of people, drawn in by the colorful vendors in India’s vibrant markets.

Marianne retired from a long career at NCAR, where she worked as an instructional designer. Her previous jobs were in Israel and Boston.  Marianne lives with partner Rick in the Boulder foothills and belongs to Bonai Shalom.
