A Begging Prayer, a Prayer for Light

A Begging Prayer, a Prayer for Light

The Light Eternal where are You?
We are struggling in the dark. Are You hiding from us?
Have you given up, have you decided enough is enough?
WE HAVE!

But not like this with
Lying- Revenge-Retaliation- Hate-Destruction- Sorrow-Pain- Violence
DEATH!
FOR WHAT!

Some want war. Most do not.
We don’t understand any of this.
We are coming apart at the seams.
Threads of gold wouldn’t even fix this, will not heal this.
Nor will rockets, tanks and artillery.

Will your Light?
If there is a Moshiach, now is the time to show Yourself.
It is our work too, but Hashem it is also Yours!

What do we do, Hashem? Where do we go from here?
Where will we end up?
More dead, more pain, more dread, more hate.
Lives changed forever!

Faith shaken – Your Light has dimmed for many. We are in the dark.
We need YOU now. Will YOU shed some Light?
Will YOU show us the Path, a Path, any Path to healing?
FOR ALL SIDES? NOW!

Please send us another way.
Please give the world another way.
Please help us to find Peace.
Please send us your LIGHT, NOW!

About Todd Greenberg

Through prayer, worship, Torah Study, and Kabbalah I have been inspired to write poetry that tends more to the spiritual and mystical aspects found in Judaism. What comes "through" me I try to put into words. I hope that at least some of what I post to BJN will resonate with you and that you find inspiration from it for your own journey. Thank you for allowing to share my writings. Blessings, Todd
