JEWISHcolorado Reinforces Commitment to Colorado by Broadening Staff

JEWISHcolorado is thrilled to welcome several new professionals to our growing team, as we work to be a pathway for Coloradans to connect with the Jewish people and our shared values.

JEWISHcolorado’s life-transforming work depends on the expertise and hard work of a diverse and dynamic professional team who work hand in hand with our boards, professional and volunteer committees.  Please join me and the rest of our staff in welcoming these addition team members to our Colorado Jewish community.”

We welcome:

  • Jeff Kline, Chief Operating Officer
  • Joseph Dubroff, Director of External Affairs
  • Shane McGuckian, Donor Service and Database Manager
  • Andrea Newman, Manager of Industry Philanthropy
  • Jason Oruch, Development Program Manager

These new staff members will join JEWISHcolorado’s dedicated team and contribute to the organization’s strength, growth and commitment to building and sustaining Colorado’s Jewish community.

As we start a new year in our new building, our growing staff will help take on timely initiatives that uplift and broadly support the community in true partnership,” said Ruth Malman, Chair of the JEWISHcolorado Board of Directors. “We welcome these new professionals to help us expand this work of creating connections among our volunteers, our donors, our partner agencies and everyone throughout our Colorado Jewish community.”

Bios for these new staff members are below:

Jeff Kline, Chief Operating Officer

Jeff Kline is a third generation Colorado native who is very active in the Jewish community.  In addition to his role as COO at JEWISHcolorado, he serves as President of BMH-BJ congregation.  Growing up in Denver, Jeff was extremely active in BBYO, graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and has served on many committees and boards.  Jeff brings significant experience leading business operations, client services, marketing, HR and finance for major corporations.  He and his wife Sandi live in Cherry Creek.

Joseph Dubroff, Director of External Affairs

Joseph Dubroff comes to JEWISHcolorado after working for more than five years at the American Jewish Committee, where he worked in diplomatic advocacy, operations management, and strategic communications. Joe received a master’s degree in International Security from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. He has lived in Denver for three years and was a summer 2017 Executive Intern in the Office of Governor John Hickenlooper.

Shane McGuckian, Donor Service and Database Manager

Shane McGuckian loves technology and programming and has worked in many different roles pursuing that passion. His recent experience includes aerospace contracting and medical records. Shane has a degree in economics from Colorado State University and completed the Data Science Immersive program at the General Assembly Institute. He is excited to leverage his diverse background to improve the JEWISHcolorado database and make data-informed decisions.

Andrea Newman, Manager of Industry Philanthropy

Andrea Newman has been engaged in Jewish community throughout her life. Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, Andrea spent ten years at the local Jewish Day School and served on the Hillel Board, Cincinnati YAD Ambassadors, and the Jewish Federation Planning and Allocations committee. She is a well-seasoned lay leader and community member and is excited to combine her experience in the Corporate Sector and her MBA in Private Interest and the Public Good to take her Jewish involvement to the next level.

Jason Oruch, Development Program Manager

Jason Oruch grew up in Plano, TX and was inspired to pursue a career in the Jewish non-profit sector while participating on Birthright. He spent seven years as a Hillel professional serving as Director of Student Life at University of Oklahoma Hillel and then as Hillel Director at University of Hartford. In December 2016, Jason received Hillel International’s Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence award for his curiosity, coalition building and commitment to students and staff. He serves on the Hillels of North Texas Board of Directors.
