Baruch Dayan Ha’emet: Ann Brown, z”l

Ann Brown (Chasha bat Laib v Leah), mother of Beth Ornstein, died peacefully on Saturday evening, July 14, 2018 in San Diego in the presence of family. She was 85 and has had a long decline after being diagnosed with vascular dementia years ago. Ann’s last days were spent with loved ones in a very comfortable assisted living facility where she was able to hear the sounds of the waves and the seals from the ocean in La Jolla.
Ann’s family have described her as having unconditional love, equanimity and a sweet presence, even after her illness. She had been a nurse and later a genetics counselor, getting her degree at the same time as Beth. Ann was a devoted daughter, wife and mother, always caring, welcoming and universally adored.
Beth will sit shiva for 3 nights in Boulder this week (7/17-19) and there will be minyanim at the following times:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 8:00 pm at Beth and Peter’s home  556 Aztec Drive, Boulder, 80303

If you want to pay a shiva visit outside these minyan times, please call first on 303-499 2317

Feel free to bring light, healthy snacking food, but Beth and Peter will be leaving town right after shiva and do not want to be left with lots of food.
Peace on the neshama of Chasha bat Laib v’Leah. Hamakom y’nachem – blessings of strength and comfort to Beth, her father, siblings and all the family along with the mourners of Zion.
Blessings,
Rabbi Marc
