Baruch Dayan HaEmet – Rhoda Nozik z”l

Rhoda Nozik died peacefully on Saturday evening, May 30, 2026 at the end of shabbat under hospice care at Frasier Meadows. Rhoda was just a few days away from her 88th birthday. Arthur Nozik, her devoted husband of 68 years, described Rhoda as an angel.

Funeral Information

  • The funeral will be on Tuesday June 2nd at 1pm – Service at Bonai Shalom, followed by a burial in the Jewish section of Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th St. Boulder, CO 80302 at approximately 2.30 PM. 
  • The funeral service at Bonai Shalom will be available to Livestream.

Shiva Information

Tuesday, June 2

  • Following the burial, the family will gather privately.

Wednesday, June 3 & Thursday, June 4

  • 2:00–4:00 PM – Visitation
  • 4:00 PM – Brief service

Upon entering through the main entrance, please let the reception staff know you are attending Rhoda Nozik’s shiva. Proceed straight to the elevator and take it to the 4th floor. The chapel is located a short distance from the elevator.

In lieu of flowers for the Funeral and/or Shiva, Rhoda’s family kindly asks for you to contribute to a charitable cause (tzedakah) of your choosing.

Rhoda is survived by her brother Marty (Adrienne), husband Arthur, daughters Eva and Jayne, grandchildren Isaiah and Maya. Hamakom y’nachem – we wish all the mourners strength and comfort.

About Rabbi Marc Soloway

Marc is a native of London, England where he was an actor and practitioner of complimentary medicine before training as a rabbi in London, Jerusalem and Los Angeles. He was ordained at the Ziegler School of Rabbinical Studies at the American Jewish University in 2004 and has been the the spiritual leader at Bonai Shalom in Boulder ever since. Marc was a close student of Rabbi Zalman Schechter Shalomi and received an additional smicha (rabbinic ordination) from him in 2014, just two months before he died. He has been the host and narrator of two documentary films shown on PBS; A Fire in the Forest: In Search of the Baal Shem Tov and Treasure under the Bridge: Pilgrimage to the Hasidic Masters of Ukraine. Marc is a graduate of the Institute of Jewish Spirituality, a fellow of Rabbis Without Borders, has traveled to Ghana in a rabbinic delegation with American Jewish World Service and co-chair of the Rabbinical Council and national board member of Hazon, which strives to create more sustainable Jewish communities. In 2015, Marc was among a group of 12 faith leaders honored at The White House as “Champions of Change” for work on the climate. Marc is a proud member of Beit Izim, Boulder’s Jewish goat milking co-op.
