Baruch Dayan Ha’emet: Patty Ann Kreis z”l

Patty Ann Kreis, mother of Stan Kreis and mother-in-law of Kathryn Bernheimer, passed away Sunday morning, February 14th.  Stan reported:

“I had the privilege of being by her side as she gave up her last breath, and I think I was a comfort to her as this process progressed.

“A Holocaust Survivor and a brave Partisan soldier fighting against the Nazi scourge, she and my father fought in the forests against the Axis Powers when their families were murdered by those same powers. She taught me how to go on with life even after the most horrific events happen to an individual. May her example teach us that the point of life is to live it as a joyous act, even in the face of adversity.”

The funeral will be held in Overland Park, Kansas on Friday, February 19.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!

  1. I was privileged to see you treat your mom with such love and respect. May you be comforted with the other mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.
