Shabbbat shalom, and Happy New Year! After a rather slow time after Chanukah, things are heating up again in the Boulder Jewish community. Construction is underway at the Jewish Commons site on the new Boulder JCC building, Nevei Kodesh is hosting a shabbaton and concert this weekend, and more! Also, renown Jewish musical star Sam Glaser is in Denver and ski country this week. For the full list of his appearances, visit his website, www.samglaser.com.
On a serious note, we would like to acknowledge with great sadness as well as horror the terrible attack in Paris this week on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. While their humor and satire was sometimes “out there”, they did nothing to deserve summary execution by terrorists. May their memories be for a blessing.
Have a great weekend, stay warm, and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.
