Week in Review: April 8th, 2011

Shabbat Shalom! This week Boulder celebrated the Conference on World Affairs and Boulder Jewish News picked up the twitter stream – did you attend or did you follow along?

This weekend is the Gala at Congregation Har HaShem – mazel tov to the founders being honored! That is followed on Sunday with a more bittersweet celebration, a Face Concert benefitting the Boulder Jewish Day School. And that’s not all – check the Community Calendar for more events, every day of the week! You can also check the Boulder Jewish News home page to see “Today in Jewish Boulder” – a quick list of the day’s events.

Ten days to go until Passover. . . so we’re adding Passover videos to the content on Boulder Jewish News. Scroll down the home page – beneath the main stories, and above the blue “feeds” section. Just for fun!

Speaking of fun, we have heard many remarks about the Noodles Passover menu. We long for the day when kosher-for-Passover foods will be available in local restaurants.  ModMarket’s pizza reminds us of schmura matza, don’t you think? And isn’t it possible that one day Jax Fish House will serve gefilte fish? Possible – but not so likely. Gentle readers, we feel an obligation to remind you that last Friday, when the Noodles story was published, the date was actually April 1. Yes, April 1. We are most appreciative to the Noodles corporate office for their indulgence and hope the story brought a smile to you too.

Enjoy!
