Week in Review: November 12th, 2010

Shabbat Shalom! It’s beginning to feel a lot like . . . .Chanukah! Can you believe it’s in less than three weeks?

It seems like there are more things to do in the Boulder Jewish Community these days than there are hours in the day. Cultural events, programs throughout town, fundraisers, Chanukah bazaars at local synagogues and at the BJCC.

If we had Hermione Granger’s time turner, we might be able to get it all done.  We certainly enjoyed the extra hour of sleep last weekend!

This weekend is packed with events. . .Crazy for Klezmer, Taste of Chidush, Kosher Restaurant Experience, Genealogy, books, books, books and more.  “13: The Musical” is playing at Boulder High and Stepping Stones will be at the East Rec Center on Sunday. Keep up with these events and more by checking the Boulder Jewish Community Calendar on Boulder Jewish News – the only calendar that combines Boulder-area organization calendars in one place where you can search for events and filter for the organizations that interest you.  Find articles about events by using the drop down menu on Boulder Jewish News (under the masthead), or the search boxes in the upper right corner or lower left corner (bottom toolbar).  The links below take you to this week’s articles.

Finally, we hope you’ll take a moment to read this story. In September, while the Fourmile Canyon Fire was still burning, the Boulder Jewish Community Foundation launched a special fund to raise money for direct relief. This past week, Boulder Jewish Day School students participated in distributing those funds.  We are fortunate to be able to share stories like this with the community and proud of what can be accomplished when we work together to build a stronger Jewish community here. To the donors, leaders, educators and families, we extend a thank you.

See you this weekend!
