I have been a Shinshinit with JEWISHColorado for almost four months now, and I can tell you that when I ask the people I engage with what their favorite holiday is, most of the time, the answer is, “Hanukkah,” which is why I was very excited to celebrate my first Hanukkah here.

Last Wednesday,  Congregation Har Hashem’s Confirmation class hosted Yoav the Shinshin for traditionally Israeli food cooking class.

The dinner and show took place at Rosenberg's Deli on the Hill last Friday with more than 50 students in attendance. The show started after a traditional Kiddush and Shabbat dinner. 

JEWISHcolorado is set to welcome four young Israelis on August 13 -- recent high school graduates who have an opportunity to delay mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces and serve Diaspora communities around the world.
