The next event in the CU Boulder Program in Jewish Studies Israel/Palestine Series is “Palestine, American Law, and the State of (Semi)-Permanent Exception,” which will take place Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 7pm (MT) in the Norlin Library, CBIS (5th Floor).
This talk will look at how American law views solidarity with Palestine as an extension of terrorism, and subsequently punishes this solidarity, even when such practices conflict with Constitutional rights.
The speaker, Wadie Said is a Professor of Law at the University of Colorado School of Law, where he teaches classes in Criminal Law and Procedure, and is the author of Crimes of Terror, a comprehensive look at American terrorism prosecutions.
