3300 years ago there had been nine horrible plagues. Those plagues followed many decades of Jews being enslaved. One spring day, the Jews were all commanded to sacrifice a lamb, smear the blood over their front doors, and and eat the lamb. The lamb was sacred in Egyptian thought and sacrificing it was certainly a seemingly unnecessarily provocative act. It was about as public and provocative a statement as could be made then. Today will each decide whether we will side with our fellow Jews. 3300 years ago some decided to not take sides. They stopped being Jewish that day and were not saved from Egyptian persecution.
