Dear editor:
The 103 Zionophobic House Democrats who voted for all time to never support the self defense of the Jewish people of Israel have rejected the proud Zionism of JFK and the proud Zionism of the Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
On 4/29/56 at Yankee Stadium, JFK proclaimed that “the United States is the oldest Republic on earth and the youngest people — Israel has the youngest Republic and the oldest people…
“Both Israel and the United States won their freedom in a bitter war for independence..
“Both Israel and the United States acknowledge the supremacy of moral law – both personal as well as national liberty – and perhaps most importantly both will fight to the end to maintain that liberty.
“We know that no other nation in the world is surrounded on every side by such violent hate and prejudice” and the United States could not leave its ally ‘DEFENSELESS WITHOUT ARMS’ (emphasis added).
“A nation has been reborn — a desert has been reclaimed – and a national integrity has been redeemed, after 2000 years of endless wandering Zion has been restored — and she has promptly opened her arms to the homeless and the weary and the persecuted. It was the ‘Ingathering of the Exiles’ — they had heard the call of their homeland; and they had come brands plucked from burning — they had come from concentration camps, from distant exile and dangerous sanctuary, from broken homes in Poland and lonely huts in Yemen, like the ancient strangers in a strange land they had come. And Israel received them all, fed them, housed them, cared for them, bound up their wounds, and enlisted them in a struggle to build a new nation.”
Kennedy also proclaimed that “Israel is the noblest of all the 20th centuries experiments in democracy— one that is here to stay. She will not surrender — she will not retreat — AND WE WILL NOT LET HER FALL” (emphasis added).
See: “JFK on Israel in 1956 vs Democrats Today“, Stuart Halpern and Tal Fortgang, washingtonpost.com, 7/27/26.
Similarly the Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr – 11 years after JFK’s proud Zionist proclamation – declared these 103 Democrats to be antisemites when he said in Cambridge, Massachusetts in October 1967:
“When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews; you’re talking antisemitism”.
See: “The Socialism of Fools – The Left, the Jews and Israel”, Seymour Martin Lipset, Encounter, December 1969, page 24; see also: “The Words of Martin Luther King”, Harvard website 2016, Professor Martin Kramer.
Yet today 103 Zionophobic House Democrats want Israel to fall — in JFK’s ominous phrase – by denying the Jewish people of Israel a single bullet to confront the blood thirsty koranic hordes who have been murdering Jews in genocidal fashion since Medina in 627.
The foundational Zionophobia of these 103 House Democrats is obvious as described by UCLA Professor Judea Pearl whose tome ” Coexistence and Other Fighting Words” has become the ubiquitous standard concerning Zionophobia. These 103 House Democrats voted to deny the Jewish people of Israel the ability to defend themselves which is the “absolute denial of Israel’s right to exist” which is Zionophobia as described by Professor Pearl on page 144.
A vote which flies in the face of the Zionist legacy of JFK and MLK Jr; a vote that embraces the genocidal antisemitism of Mohammad at Medina in 627, and Hitler, Heydrich and Eichmann and Yahya Sinwar and Yasir Arafat.
