I find it extremely offensive to label Jews as extremist settlers! (“Sustainable Israeli-Palestinian Projects Awards $10,000 in Emergency Relief Grants to Address Extremist Settler Violence,” BJN 7/2/26) Jews are NOT settlers! We are indigenous! There is no such thing as an Arab nor Muslim Palestinian! Would you like me to do a training of FACTS?
This foolishness is precisely why converts who went through a reform conversion program are being denied the right to return to Israel. People who hold these dysfunctional beliefs are absolutely responsible for the rise in antisemitism.

This comes from Israel with regard to Palestinian attacks on Israeli inhabitants on the West Bank. The name “West Bank” is in itself a relic of pre-Israel, as this land was taken by Jordan and referred to as the West Bank of Jordan.
There is much evidence of inaccurate reporting coming from news organizations that inform the West. The only way to know and understand what is happening is to also read newspapers from Israel and other sources in the US that have more independent reporters.
Before condemning Israel, think about the sources of the news that is doing the informing.

We believe that ignoring the reality on the ground helps no one who hopes to see a peaceful resolution to the decades-long hostilities that have plagued the region. The term “settler” is the standard term used in Israel to distinguish Israeli citizens living in West Bank communities from Palestinians living in the same territory under a different legal system and with different legal rights and obligations. Regardless of how you characterize people who sabotage water systems, destroy homes and olive orchards, terrorize children on their way to school, and engage in similar conduct, the conduct itself is reprehensible. Its victims deserve support and protection.
