Jewish Teen Leadership Award: Applications and Nominations Are Open

Now more than ever, it is vital to lift up young Jewish leaders creating ripples of good in the world.

Aron Goodman (Morristown, NJ) uses TikTok as a platform to fight antisemitism by sharing first-person stories from his grandmother who survived the Holocaust as a child. Meaza Light-Orr (Los Angeles, CA) expanded educational access in Ethiopia by building a secondary school in the village where she was born. Anabelle Lombard (Arlington, VA) turns art into activism with Generation Ratify, a youth-led movement to educate and activate youth around gender justice in the United States.

In addition to being incredible young changemakers, what else do these extraordinary teenagers have in common? They are all recipients of the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards.

Do you know a teen leader like Aron, Meaza, or Anabelle making a difference in your community? The 2024 Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards recognize up to 15 Jewish teens from across the United States with $36,000 to honor their leadership and efforts to repair the world.

Eligibility: Teens must be currently serving in a leadership role on a project, identify as Jewish, be residents of the United States, and cannot be receiving compensation for their work. Projects may focus on the Jewish or general community.

Nominations: The Diller Tikkun Olam Awards invite educators, rabbis, civic leaders, and mentors to recognize young leaders who are making a difference in their community by nominating them for the Award. Nominations are open now with a deadline of December 22, 2023. Teens can also apply directly by January 5, 2024.
