This fall, Boulder County welcomes the first cycle of Shomrei HaZmanim (“Guardians of the Times”), a nature-based Jewish community for teens in grades 9 through 12. Rooted in mentorship, wilderness skill, emotional depth, and belonging, the program offers young people immersive time outdoors and in real relationship … a place to strengthen their connection to self, to community, and to Jewish life at the tender, formative threshold between childhood and adulthood.
Teenagers often drift away from Judaism after the B’nei Mitzvah threshold, yet our tradition offers significant guidance, connection and community as Teens mature towards adulthood. Shomrei Hazmanim fills this gap, creating an on-going place of deep connection that meets teens where they are in exciting ways.
Registration is open now, and we begin in the Fall.
