JEWISHcolorado Summit Series Featuring Author David de Jong Kicks Off in Aspen

(DENVER) — JEWISHcolorado is excited to bring its Summit Series fundraising event featuring author David de Jong to Aspen. Join JEWISHcolorado on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at The Arts Campus at Willits from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for an informative discussion about de Jong’s book, “Nazi Billionaires: The Dark History of Germany’s Wealthiest Dynasties.”

David de Jong

David de Jong is a journalist and author. His first book, “Nazi Billionaires,” is published in the US and the UK by HarperCollins and will be translated in more than twenty languages from English. He spent four years reporting from Berlin while researching and writing his book. De Jong previously covered European banking and finance from Amsterdam and hidden wealth from New York for Bloomberg News. His work has also appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg Businessweek. A native of the Netherlands, he currently lives in Tel Aviv and works as a Middle East correspondent for the Dutch Financial Daily.

Meticulously researched, De Jong’s book offers a groundbreaking investigation of how the Nazis helped German tycoons make billions off the horrors of the Third Reich and World War II—and how America allowed them to get away with it.

Tickets are $54 with proceeds benefiting JEWISHcolorado and programming such as PJ Library, Golshim L’Chaim-Ski to Live, and religious school stipends, and camp scholarships in mountain communities across Colorado. Details and registration on the JEWISHcolorado website or at https://www.jewishcolorado.org/special-event/summit-series/.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
