I Couldn’t Get Past Mah Tovu

I Couldn’t Get Past Mah Tovu

I couldn’t get past Mah Tovu in this mornings prayers,
this is what came instead;

Asking to be more vulnerable
I hear Your sound

It’s calling me to be more humble
and alive in ways never known before

I ache to be here for You
|knowing Your love has always been

Here I am Hashem
ready the next steps

Don’t be too hard on me
let me take one step at a time

In love with You
My faith grows

I cannot see You
I feel You

Tears abound

About Todd Greenberg

Through prayer, worship, Torah Study, and Kabbalah I have been inspired to write poetry that tends more to the spiritual and mystical aspects found in Judaism. What comes "through" me I try to put into words. I hope that at least some of what I post to BJN will resonate with you and that you find inspiration from it for your own journey. Thank you for allowing to share my writings. Blessings, Todd
