Her Shining White Light

The pine tree’s pins and needles have at last burst open,
with a bit of help from God’s reign and sun.
This room’s chandeliers
reflect within the bowery of branches,
and we are staring at the
reflections of us amidst the and little orbs,
might they be UFOs?
And we wonder…
Do aliens look just like us?
Do they have a heart and soul?
Do they have families way back home?
Does God visit the frothy heavens,
where our sages, at last, find a quiet place to study?
Does She live up in an airy city up above the clouds?
Or does She reside in Shangri-La,
in an utopian paradise here in Earth?
Does She still exist in the Garden of Eden,
where apples and snakes are both temptations?
Or does God live in outer space?
Might we be cosmic neurons, all firing off both moons and planets,
all connected by the flow
of dark matter,
where we’ll be in the separation of time and space?
Surely She lives in the hearts and souls of us!
We are but chandeliers, reflecting light through the darkness of space.
Little orbs floating through life,
in the presence of God,
within the night.
