Bike to Work Day at the Boulder JCC on Wednesday, June 28

Bike to Work Day is an annual event that promotes the benefits of cycling as a means of commuting. It encourages individuals to ditch their cars and choose a healthier, eco-friendly alternative. Bike to Work Day aims to raise awareness about the positive impacts of cycling, such as reducing traffic congestion, improving air quality, and enhancing personal fitness. It also fosters a sense of community, as participants come together to celebrate their shared commitment to sustainable transportation, highlighting the power of two wheels.

Bike to Work Day in Colorado is celebrated on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. There will be breakfast stations in and around Boulder serving free food and drink to an estimated 7,000 participants riding or walking to work from 6:30 – 9 am.

The Boulder JCC is proud to be participating again this year and encourages everyone coming to the Boulder JCC for camp, work, pickleball, or the many other activities taking place to ride your bike on Wednesday. The Boulder JCC encourages you to continue this practice after Wednesday, June 28. There is bike parking available at the facility at the main entrance facing the parking lot and at the entrance facing Arapahoe Ave.

The staff at the Boulder JCC will be serving free breakfast, including coffee, to folks coming to the Boulder JCC, commuting to another location, or if you are just out for a Joy Ride on Wednesday, June 28 from 6:30 – 9 am. Location of this station will be on corner of Oreg Avenue and Cherryvale.

Join the fun with your fellow bicyclists and please encourage others to join in. Pledge to Ride – It helps with planning and keeps you in the loop.  If you have any questions about the Boulder JCC Breakfast Station please email nancy.lipsey@boulderjcc.org
