After a two year “hiatus”, Shavuot celebrations are back in person!
“Being in person really adds to the energy that this holiday deserves,” says Haver President Rabbi Marc Soloway.
Shavuot celebrates receiving the Torah on Mount Sinai. It is commemorated by all night study, lively discussion, and eating dairy-filled foods.
“Our them is ‘Torah of Life, Paths of Peace,’ which seems very personal this year,” adds committee organizer Rabbi Charna Rosenholtz, “especially in light of all the happenings over the last several months.”
The program, sponsored by Haver, the Rabbinic Council of Boulder, will be held June 4th at Congregation Bonai Shalom. It kicks off at 7:00 pm with a social hour and kavanah followed by a rabbi panel from 8:00 – 9:00 pm. Four learning sessions, meditation and time for personal reflection stretch the evening into the wee hours of the night ending around 1:30 am.
The program is free, but registration is required. Visit https://boulderhaver.org/upcoming-events/ for more information and to register.
