Shavuot is celebrated with a “Night of Jewish Learning” on May 21, 2026, featuring discussions and classes addressing community-building. Open to all backgrounds, advance registration is encouraged.

Shavuot begins this Saturday night, June 4.  There is a Kabbalah-based custom to remain awake the first night of Shavuot, studying Torah.  Get ready to pull an all-nighter. 

The Omer helps navigate the unknown terrain between Pesach and Shavuot, which is why it may be both an exciting and daunting time. We are meant to ascend, both temporally and inwardly, the space between being in Egypt and arriving at Mount Sinai.

Shavuot is a mysterious holiday. This commemoration of receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai isn’t given a specific date for its celebration; instead we are told in the Book of Exodus to schedule it seven weeks from the second night of Passover.

After a two year "hiatus", Shavuot celebrations are back in person!

Haver, the Rabbinic Council of Boulder, will host a virtual program at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 16th to get participants in the mindset to receive the Torah.

The holiday of Shavuot begins the evening of May 16 and ends on the evening of May 18. Shavuot is the Hebrew word for “weeks” because the holiday occurs seven weeks after Passover.
