Join Haver, the Rabbinic Council of Boulder, in celebrating SHAVUOT 2023! This year's carefully cultivated theme, "Foundations of Righteousness, Justice & Law," provides an opportunity to study with Boulder rabbis and learn from community activists.

Humanistic Jews celebrate Shavuot with picnics featuring bread, dairy and fruit and may honor education. And because we are in Colorado, we can also hike!

Join Haver, the Rabbinic Council of Boulder, as we celebrate Shavuot, a holiday commemorating receiving the Torah at Mt. Sinai, the evening of May 25-26.

Shavuot begins this Saturday night, June 4.  There is a Kabbalah-based custom to remain awake the first night of Shavuot, studying Torah.  Get ready to pull an all-nighter. 

The Omer helps navigate the unknown terrain between Pesach and Shavuot, which is why it may be both an exciting and daunting time. We are meant to ascend, both temporally and inwardly, the space between being in Egypt and arriving at Mount Sinai.

Shavuot is a mysterious holiday. This commemoration of receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai isn’t given a specific date for its celebration; instead we are told in the Book of Exodus to schedule it seven weeks from the second night of Passover.

After a two year "hiatus", Shavuot celebrations are back in person!

Haver, the Rabbinic Council of Boulder, will host a virtual program at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 16th to get participants in the mindset to receive the Torah.

In the midst of Stay-at-Home orders issued by state and local governments, Boulder’s rabbinic council, Haver, had to innovate ways to celebrate Shavuot, the holiday commemorating receiving the Torah from Mount Sinai.

The first Humanistic Jewish Shavuot Celebration - Tikkun Leil Shavuot - convenes Thursday, May 28, live from Israel, Canada and across the U.S.

With you in mind, we are preparing a Shavuos Kit to go for adults and a special educational Shavuos "Tool Kit" for children.

The Boulder Rabbinical Council, Haver, will be hosting this year's celebration of Shavuot at Congregation Nevei Kodesh. Our theme this year is "Jewish By Choice."
