Amy Tisdale, of Red Wagon Farm reflected in a recent blog post about all the benefits her farm has gotten over the past 11 years’ partnership with the Boulder Jewish community. 11 years ago, Rabbi Marc, Lisa Bates, and Sandy Cohn started a partnership with the farm through a Hazon program called Tuv Ha’aretz. Though the organized activities have dwindled since the beginning of the partnership, Amy lists the many tangible and intangible benefits that she, her husband, and the farm have received over the years as a result of partnering with the Jewish community. These include incredibly supportive host sites for their CSA pickup, involvement in Jewish holidays, and the partnerships for giving away missed shares to community members who need food the most.
Due to decreased restaurant sales as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the farm is offering a winter CSA for the first time in a number of years. There is still room in it! By joining you can get local produce through December and have a great excuse to visit the farm every week. Click here for more information and to join.
