This is a non-political event sponsored by the Lemon Tree Group.*
*The Lemon Tree Group includes Jewish, Muslim, Christian, American, Palestinian, Lebanese and Israeli members who have been meeting for over seven years. It was originally started as a gathering to read the book “The Lemon Tree” by Sandy Tolan and to raise money to support Open House in Ramle, Israel, the preschool program at this Israeli-Arab community center whose history is chronicled in the book.
We meet monthly to discuss history and current events in the Middle East from all points of view. Together we have created a safe and trusting environment to speak our truth, share our food and stay current with an open mind. The March invites the wider community to share in the spirit of The Lemon Tree Group.
