8th and 9th Grade Hangout!
Teen years are an exciting but turbulent time when boys are dealing with competition, aggression, masculinity, relationships, and other issues. It’s when friendship and mentorship are most needed, and the values and support of Jewish community can be a positive guiding force. This is why Shevet Achim exists. In small peer groups with trained adult mentors, Shevet Achim creates experiences where boys can bond and have open conversations about real teen issues once a month. This fun and transformative experience empowers boys to grow into adulthood with confidence, compassion, and purpose.
*Shevet Achim: The Brotherhood will meet once a month with facilitator Rabbi Marc Soloway and Gary Brandt at a designated location, date and time agreed upon by the group.
When: January 31st, 2016 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Where: Congregation Bonai Shalom
Eligibility: 8-9 Grade
