Judaism Your Way (JYW), the Denver/Boulder area’s leading Jewish outreach organization, announced that Rob Klugman has been elected JYW Board President. Klugman, a member of the JYW Board of Directors, assumed his new role as of January 1, 2016. The position was previously held by JYW co-founder Don Sturm.

“After many years of leadership, I can think of no better person to pass the torch to than Rob Klugman,” said Sturm. Klugman commented, “Judaism Your Way has become an integral part of our Jewish community under Don Sturm’s leadership. I am proud to succeed him as Board President.”

The Judaism Your Way Board of Directors also elected the following officers: Steve Kris as Vice-President, Susan Sturm as Treasurer, and Steve Leaffer as Secretary.

Don Sturm is transitioning his responsibilities to co-chair the Mitzvah Your Way campaign, along with Susan Sturm, Steve Leaffer, and Karen Leaffer. Mitzvah Your Way is a new combined annual and endowment fundraising campaign to sustain JYW’s operating expenses and ensure the organization’s perpetuity. As part of the launch, Judaism Your Way will hold its first-ever Gala on May 19, 2016 at the History Colorado Center. The event will honor JYW’s founders, Don and Susan Sturm, for their groundbreaking leadership, commitment, and generosity to Judaism Your Way and the Colorado Jewish community.

Established in 2004, Judaism Your Way provides important access to Jewish experiences that the largely unaffiliated Denver/Boulder community needs by enabling Jewish and interfaith individuals and families to celebrate Jewish holidays, honor lifecycle events, and connect to Jewish practice and community.
