Week in Review: May 22nd, 2015

Shabbat shalom!  This weekend is Shavuot, the holiday commemorating the Jewish people receiving Torah at Mount Sinai after the Exodus.  See some of our articles below for some of the activities planned around town.  And Monday is Memorial Day — thanks to all of our veterans, Jewish and not, who gave their lives in service of our country.

And, watch out for the hoardes of runners in town this weekend for Monday’s Bolder Boulder 10k race.  Somewhere in the neighborhood of 50,000 participants expected.  Good for Boulder’s economy!

Have a great weekend and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
