Shabbat shalom! Today is the 70th anniversary of D-Day, the invasion of Nazi-held France by American and British troops that was the beginning of the end for Hitler’s Third Reich. (And less than two months away from the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I.)
Don’t forget, this Sunday is the 20th annual Boulder Jewish Festival! Thank you to the volunteers who work year-round to put together a spectacular day for the community, and to the sponsors, funders, donors and supporters who help make this event possible. Once again, art booths will be on 3 blocks of Pearl so be sure to walk the mall and see them all. The music and food will be on the 1300 block, and the community groups are on the Courthouse Lawn. You can download the free app to your phone or tablet and have all the info in the palm of your hand.
In a fun twist, Ride the Rockies starts in Boulder on the very same day. The riders will be well on their way by the time the Festival starts at 11 am – and hopefully their friends and family will stay for the Festival after the send-off. Be ready for a great crowd!
How many of these Festival t-shirts do you remember? How many do you have? Check out the latest at the end of the video! Wear yours on Sunday!
