Dr. Clairene Gunn Weaver, z”l

Dr. Clairene (Claire) Gunn Weaver, mother of Butch Weaver, died peacefully on June 3, 2014 in hospice in Florida.  All the arrangements are still being made and will be in Florida and Virginia.  We will keep you informed of any memorials or services here in Boulder.

This is part of the email that Butch sent out to family members earlier:

Our dear Claire, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many, died peacefully and naturally at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL this morning, June 3, 2014 at 11:30 am EDT.  She had her daughter, Suzy, and her grandson, Andrew, physically at her side, and so very many of the rest with her spiritually, as the angels came to carry her away this morning.

Dr. Clairene Gunn Weaver enjoyed 85 years of life, born on March 23, 1929 to Clarence Ware Gunn and Avie Elizabeth White Gunn.  She married Lindsay Asbury Weaver and together they raised four children, Butch (Lindsay A. Jr), Suzy (Suzanne), Diane, and Dorine; those children gave Claire eight grandchildren, Shana, Becca, David, Andrew, Seth, Amira, Hussien, and Ahmed.  She was the sixth of nine siblings, Eldred, Eunice, B.W., Aaron, Morris, Clairene, Leroy, Ray Robin (Buck), and Avie Ann. Buck survives Clairene in Kenbridge, VA.”

Our blessings of strength and comfort go out to Butch, Shana, Becca, David and the whole family.  Peace on Claire’s soul and may her memory be a blessing!
