First Jewish Death Cafe in Boulder

hamsaCome join us at the Laughing Goat Coffee House at 2907 55th Street (The Goat at the Garage) on Tuesday, July 22, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.

The objective of a Death Café is “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their ‘finite’ lives.” People are free to come and go, to talk or not talk as they feel in that moment. Be curious! Have fun!

This Death Café…

  • is a forum to discuss death with no expectations or intention to lead anyone to any course of action or conclusions about life or death.
  • is an unstructured, open, respectful space free of discrimination where people can express their views safely.
  • is a respectful dialogue that allows people to explore their questions, hopes, fears and dreams, and consider how their Jewish heritage may influence their reflections on dying, death and afterlife.
  • is always held on a not-for-profit basis and includes food or drink, whether brought or bought.
