Shabbat Shalom! Continued big thanks to all the flood volunteers — those of you volunteering here in town, as well as all of the people who have come to Boulder and Colorado to help with flood relief. We especially appreciate the folks from Nechama, who came in from Minnesota among other places, and the IsraAID team that came in from Israel. If you see these folks around town, or anyone helping out, please take a moment to stop and thank them.
This weekend, the community starts to settle back in post-flood to something approaching a natural post-holidays rhythm, with b’nai mitzvahs scheduled, a Shabbat guest speaker at Bonai Shalom, which has found temporary lodging at the Universal Unitarian facility on Pennsylvania, and the Menorah fundraiser on Sunday, scheduled at Rembrandt Yards with a little altitude.
JNF announced another prominent Coloradan speaking at their National Conference in Denver at the end of October: former Interior Secretary Ken Salazar. He joins Governor John Hickenlooper on the list of Colorado icons scheduled to address the conference.

Hi there David
Perhaps you might write an article about the guys at IsraAid. they are an incredible bunch of guys who volunteer to come here to do the dirtiest, most miserable work to help clean up from the disaster. If you need contact information and pictures, I will send you their names and e-mails. They have posted pictures of their work on Israaid web site.
Perhaps people will want to invite them for dinner…they are truly a bunch of whom we can be so proud.
