Shabbat Shalom! While there was plenty of Israel-related news in the last week, it was a relatively quiet week here in Boulder. We hope you were able to follow the various AIPAC-related feeds and news sources, including our own streaming Twitter coverage.
Meanwhile, summer is upon us with the end of the Boulder Valley School District school year, and Memorial Day Weekend representing the “official” summer kick-off. BJN had a timely article this week on a local Jewish summer camp that still has space available for the newcomers or procrastinators among us.
Here in Boulder, of course, Memorial Day Weekend means the Boulder Creek Festival is this weekend, as well as the Bolder Boulder 10K race on Monday. While the weather looks unsettled (rainy?) on Saturday and Sunday, Monday should be clear and mild, a perfect day to run, walk or watch the BB. If you have race-related photos or stories, be sure to share them with the BJN… email them to editor@boulderjewishnews.org and we’ll post them on Tuesday.
Finally, the Boulder Jewish Community Center took another step toward its new building by hiring an Owner’s Representative, basically a project manager to make sure that the project stays on track through to completion. Congratulations, BJCC, on another step in the right direction!
Have a great weekend in the Happiest Town in America…
