Celebrate Shavuot with the Boulder JCC

Celebrate Shavuot with the Boulder JCC

The holiday of Shavuot begins the evening of May 16 and ends on the evening of May 18. Shavuot is the Hebrew word for “weeks” because the holiday occurs seven weeks after Passover. The Shavuot festival combines two religious observances, the celebration of the grain harvest of the early summer and the commemoration of receiving the Torah on Mount Sinai. One of the ways we celebrate in modern times is to eat dairy foods and connect to agriculture to mark the spring harvest. The Boulder JCC has several ways for you to celebrate. You can register and learn more about all these programs at boulderjcc.org/shavuot
