Applications Open for $25,000 in Mini-Grants from Hazon

Hazon in Colorado is awarding $25,000 in mini-grants for projects that will make the Colorado Jewish community healthier and more sustainable. They have opened their annual request for proposals. All applications are due by July 31st at 11:59 pm MST.

Grant amounts of $1,250 and $2,500 are available. The mini-grant program is designed to inspire and grow a range of programs in the Boulder/Denver area that utilize Jewish outdoor, food, farming, and environmental education (JOFEE), and support the growing JOFEE movement. To qualify, projects must help to create healthier and more sustainable communities in the Colorado Jewish community and individual Jewish lives.

Start a Jewish garden! Makes changes to your institution’s food purchasing practices! Reduce the carbon footprint of your synagogue! Host a series of Jewish hikes or sustainable Shabbat potlucks!
