Baking A Difference

Braiding and baking!
Braiding and baking!

Challah for Hunger is an organization that seeks to raise awareness of hunger and social justice through the baking and selling of bread.

Each Thursday at 7 pm, volunteers meet at the CU Hillel house to braid and bake loaves of challah that are sold for a donation.

Every chapter donates half their proceeds to American Jewish World Service, and the other half to a non-profit that is agreed upon by the volunteers of that chapter. This semester, the Boulder chapter voted to partner with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign, an initiative whose goal is to end child hunger in America.

  1. What a worthwhile project! I'd love to buy these challahs. When are they available for purchase?
