The Boulder JCC is excited to celebrate Chanukah with you and your family. Please join us for one of our upcoming activities for families and teens.
Saturday Night, December 9 the Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative is hosting a teen Chanukah program. Light Up the Night: Teen Chanukah Dance Party is open to all teens in the community and is a collaboration with BBYO, BJTI, Jewish Student Connection, USY, and Boulder Temple Youth. All teens are invited to join us even if your teen has never attended or been involved in youth activities. Command the dance floor in your comfy kicks and dress to impress for a night of dancing! Everything from sneakers to chic is welcome! This event will begin at 6:30 with Havdalah and Menorah lighting followed by pizza, Sufganiyot (Israeli donuts), dancing, and fun games.
The fun continues on Sunday, December 10 with an interactive musical celebration of Chanukah with Jeff and Paige. With elaborate costumes and songs, Jeff and Paige use storytelling to explore Chanukah and celebrate its many traditions. Doors open at 10 am and the program begins at 10:30 am. Jeff and Paige are local favorites for the kids 7 and under. In the lobby you will find:
- Community Fruit Rescue
- David the Dreidel
- DAYENU: A Jewish Call to Climate Action
- Eco-Cycle
- Face Painting with Katie Miller (Where the Wild Things Art)
- Jeff and Paige Merchandise
- Whistling Boar – Selling sufganiyot (donuts), rugelach (pastry cookies), Chanukah sugar cookies, coconut macaroons, and more!
